Mom started showing signs of Alzheimer’s around 2010. Her decline has been pretty slow and steady. We moved her in 2017 out here with dad to live with my family and the day to day started to get harder to my dad and I to take care of her. Especially when she became incontinent. So, a room opened up at Pearl in December 2019 and we took it. It has been the perfect place for her as well as for us. Gives her full time care as well as social interaction. We would come  (before covid) and play bingo, makes meals and just hang out with the household. It was very sad to give that up but we are grateful now to at least come in to her room and sit with her. Her great grandchildren used to come as well and play Ono with her and some of the other residents.
